    Product Description

    Blind flange, also known as tube blind disk, is a form of flange connection. In fact, there is no hole in the middle of the flange.

    Blind flange functions is to block the end of the pipeline, and facilitate the role of removing debris in the pipeline during maintenance. In terms of blocking function, it has the same function with head and pipe cap. But the head has no way to dismantle, while the flange blind plate is fixed with bolts, which is very convenient to dismantle. According to materials, blind flange can be classed to carbon steel flange, alloy steel flange, stainless steel flange, copper nickel flange and so on.

    Processing method: Cutting flange
    Cutting out the flange directly on the center plate leaves the inner and outer diameters of the flange and the thickness of the disk, and then carry out the processing of the bolt holes and the water line. The flanges produced in this way are called cut flanges, and the maximum diameter of such flanges is limited by the width of the center plate.

    Rolled flange
    The process of cutting strips from the center plate and then rolling them into a circle is called rolling, which is mostly used in the production of some large flanges. After successful rolling, it is can be shaped to weld neck flange, flat face flange, spectacle flange, raised face flange, threaded flange, orifice flange, plate flange and so on.
    To production process is mainly divided into four kinds of forging, casting, cutting, rolling.
    Casting out of the flange, blank shape and size is accurate, processing is small, low cost, but there are casting defects (porosity, cracks, inclusions); casting internal organization streamline is poor (if it is cutting parts, streamline is worse);Forging flange contains low carbon, generally less prone to rust than casting flange, and forging parts flow pattern is good, the organization is more dense, the mechanical properties are better than casting flange; Improper forging process will also appear grain size or uneven, hardening crack phenomenon, forging cost is higher than casting flange
